Zoals sommigen misschien wel weten ben ik op dit moment stage aan het lopen bij Oye LENA, een educatief project in het hart van de Andes in Peru.

Oye LENA wil armoede en ongelijkheid verminderen met goed onderwijs. Elk kind, zowel met als zonder beperking, moet zich kunnen ontwikkelen, ongeacht waar ze opgroeien of welke uitdagingen ze hebben. Bij Oye LENA creëren wij een veilige plek waar kinderen met liefde worden ontvangen en kunnen leren, spelen en zich ontwikkelen.

Onze rode bus speelt een cruciale rol. Zonder deze bus kunnen veel kinderen - vooral degenen met een beperking die ver weg wonen - niet deelnemen aan het project. Helaas is de bus oud en zijn er continu reparaties nodig. Om ervoor te zorgen dat de kinderen naar het project kunnen blijven komen, hebben we dus dringend een nieuwe bus nodig.

De prijs voor een nieuwe bus is €25.000. Ik wil graag mijn steentje bijdragen en probeer €1000 op te halen. Elke bijdrage, groot of klein, helpt ons een stap dichterbij ons doel: een nieuwe bus.

As some of you may know, I am currently doing an internship at Oye LENA, an educational project in the heart of the Andes in Peru.

Oye LENA aims to reduce poverty and inequality through quality education. Every child, with or without disabilities, should have the opportunity to develop, regardless of where they grow up or the challenges they face. At Oye LENA, we create a safe space where children are welcomed with love and can learn, play, and grow.

Our red bus plays a crucial role. Without this bus, many children—especially those with disabilities who live far away—cannot participate in the project. Unfortunately, the bus is old and constantly needs repairs. To ensure that the children can continue coming to the project, we urgently need a new bus.

The cost of a new bus is €25,000, and I want to do my part by raising €1,000. Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to our goal: a new bus.
