Tsunami Recovery Mission

Donation protected

We are going to Japan on July 15 - August 1 to help with recovery efforts from the earthquake and tsunami.

Mission Overview

1. Work with local churches to assist people in the community stricken by the quake and tsunami.

Help with recovery efforts by

     a. Cleaning and rebuilding houses

     b. Rebuilding church buildings

     c. Distributing supplies

     d. Local outreach

     d. Fixing nuclear reactor (some of us have tech support experience)

2. To be Christ\'s hands and feet in Japan and to spread His Good News. To help the Japanese church multiply their efforts to love their neighbors through recovery work. To be witnesses of Christ to the Japanese people by showing we care about them, and that we are going to them.

Why Go?

This is still the need for help in Japan three months after the earthquake and tsunami hit. The people are still struggling to rebuild their homes and community.

As ambassadors of Christ, it is our duty to spread share the Gospel with our neighbors, even if they are across a continent. It is also our duty to help the worldwide church. We want to show the Japanese people that we care about them by going to them.

  • Pray for the Japanese people who are struggling to rebuild. Please pray that that many would find Christ as their sure foundation.
  • Please also pray for our family members we are temporarily leaving behind.

Team Profiles

Jason Kueh - [email redacted]

Message: Thank you for your prayers and support. Having lived in Japan for almost ten years (and saved by God while there), I feel a burden to do God\'s kingdom work there. I\'m currently in seminary and my wife and I feel called to serve as missionaries to Japan after I graduate. I went on a two-week relief mission to Japan a month after the quake and tsunami hit, and am excited to do even more this time.

Phil Coffin - [email redacted]

Message: Thank you for praying and giving support for this missions trip to Japan! For years now, I have felt a call to missions. In the past I have had the opportunity to serve the people of Haiti as a missionary pilot and aircraft mechanic. Since graduating from seminary two years ago, I have been serving the seminary community in IT (Information Technology). I am very excited to share the love of Christ in word and deed, to the people of Japan in their time of great need.

Sam Im - [email redacted]

Message: While living in Korea for nearly 7 years, the church I was attending there (Onnuri English Ministry) showed immense love for the people of Japan. Sadly, I was never able to go to Japan myself. Praise God that I will be able to go this July to share God\'s love and grace by helping the people of Japan by serving them as Christ served His disciples when He washed their feet. Your prayer support will be my life support.
