Recently the Lightner children lost their father leaving them without financial support. I am a first grade teacher in the Palmyra School District. Last year I had the pleasure of teaching one of them and in the process became close to their family. I decided to start this gofundme after seeing how much the children need in terms of food and necessities. Their mother did not ask me to do this. There are 4 children, Vera age 8, Russell age 6, Carl age 5 and Baby Beverly age 18 months. I am raising money to buy basic necessities for the family including diapers, wipes, paper towels, toilet paper, toothpaste, kids mouthwash, dish liquid soap and tissues. I will also use the money raised to help with grocery and rental expenses. If anyone prefers to not donate directly to this campaign but would like to help the above items can be purchased and given to me. I will deliver to the family. Gift cards are also appreciated.
