I’ve created this GoFundMe account to help raise money for my mother and her current legal situation with immigration and being able to stay in the states as a resident. My mother was denied her paperwork to be a resident when 9/11 happened along with many others. We’ve exhausted all our options and I’ve even tried to get her residency through me. My mother is very strong and has overcome a lot of trauma from immigrations physical and verbal abuse. One of two options offered to my mother was to be deported and live in Mexico for 10-15 years and then try to apply. My mother has spent more than 15 years in the states. As a single mother and only having a work visa for so long I watched my mother get up to work a standing factory job in metal work from 4a-4p almost 7 days a week for years and years. She payed taxes, had a DL and social but of course it only lasted for so long. I’ve never in my life have heard or seen someone who’s come from such a broken home and trauma , work so hard and ask for nothing in return like my mother has. She’s not only a mother but also a grandma now to five grand children, one of them being my daughter Luna. My mother helps me take care of my daughter while I go to school and work. Without her school and even work would be an impossible task for me as a single parent. It is with great and very heavy emotions that I write this summary for help. What I’ve written isn’t even the tip of the iceberg for my mothers situation. We need yalls help please.
