GLOBAL CHIROPRACTIC OUTREACH is a charitable service-based organization aimed at partnering with other charitable organizations to provide healthcare, wellness education and hands-on compassion in under-served and third-world settings.
The World Health Organization has identified musculoskeletal impairment as one of the leading causes of disability in the world. The socioeconomic impact of these types of conditions are devastating in areas where the economy is reliant upon physical labor. Chiropractors are, "The primary care professionals for spinal health and wellbeing." As such, we are uniquely skilled to be able to provide the hands-on healthcare needed to treat these disorders.
In the past 18 months we have had the privilege of establishing an ongoing relationship to provide care in Mexico (including serving the families that live in the Tijuana dump.) We have also been able to continue a program to treat the inmates at San Quentin Prison as well as travel to Fiji to provide healthcare and compassion to some of the poorest regions in the islands. Through this fund-raising effort, Global Chiropractic Outreach hopes to be able to broaden our ability to partner with other organizations. This will allow us to provide care, compassion and wellness education in even more areas of the world that have limited access to any type of healthcare.
We are currently expanding our outreach by partnering with IMPACT LAOS, a non-profit organization with a mission to make a positive difference in the lives of the people of Laos by providing humanitarian aid, healthcare, educational support and building assistance in local villages. Laos is a landlocked communist country bordered by China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar. It is part of the "Golden Triangle", known for its production of opium based drugs, and has a large population of addicts and alcoholics. Laos remains relatively isolated, undeveloped and uneducated. Our team will be working in villages and schools, providing clinical care, health and hygiene education as well as working in the only addiction recovery center in Laos.
