Ciara and Baby Easton
Donation protected
Hi my name is Denise, and I am trying to help my daughter and her newborn son. You may have seen on the news in the last few days, the story of the 20 year old man who was arrested for assaulting his 2 week old child in Amelia, Ohio. That child was my grandson, Easton. His mother, Ciara is my daughter.
Early Friday morning Ciara noticed bruising on both of Eastons' legs, his left arm and his left cheek. Without hesitation, Ciara made a doctors appointment with his family doctor and was able to get an appointment right away. Because the bruises were unexplainable, the doctor told my daughter to take Easton immediately to Children's Hospital for deeper testing and evaluation. Once at Children's, X-Rays, CT Scans, and blood draws were done. It was found that Easton had a skull fracture, blood on his brain, and a torn frenulum, as well. After police and CPS spoke to myself and both of Easton's parents, it was evident that the bruises and injuries were caused by his father. His father made a full admission to causing the injuries two days prior when my daughter left her son with his father for two hours so she could attend her own doctor appointment.
Thankfully, Easton is home and recovering and is expected to make a full recovery!
My daughter and grandson's entire world was flipped upside down this past week and the pain and heartache we feel has been unbearable. She is being so strong and I'm so proud of her for that! This traumatic event has left her in a very tough position. They had just signed a new apartment lease a week before the baby was born and his father was the sole income provider for them. She is only 3 weeks postpartum and now has to not only deal with the stress of what happened, but the stress of being a single parent and sole provider for her and her infant son. She just needs this boost to get on her feet until she is at least 6 weeks postpartum and can return to work. Anything you can monetarily spare to help them get through this very tough time would be much appreciated. If you are unable to help financially, please pray for them.
Thank you so much for caring and reading our story!
