Survivors of Domestic Violence
Donation protected
Lend a Helping Hand is back to spread some Joy and warmth this holiday Season.
We’d like to start off by saying THANK YOU for your continuous support over the past four years.
This year, we will be collecting donations for Survivors of Domestic Violence.
As everyone continues to grapple with the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic—from deaths, job loss, evictions, and so much more—there has also been a surge in domestic violence in our communities. Experts have labelled this the “Shadow Pandemic”, as survivors have been forced into extreme, vulnerable, and dangerous positions.
Every single night, roughly 3,000 women — alongside their 2,900 dependent children — seek out emergency shelter to escape intimate partner violence.
This year, Lend a Helping Hand will be donating the funds to organizations that support survivors of domestic violence.
We will also be accepting lightly used clothing and blankets.
Thank you in advance for Lending a hand to someone in need.
