Help Sharon keep fighting
Donation protected
Hi I'm Jen, I have a older brother named
Stephen. We were raised by an incredibly
strong independent woman named Sharon.
20 years ago My mom was working full time
running around maintaining the household
taking care of us, then one day she woke up
with a swollen knee. within 6 months she
couldn't walk , get dressed, cook , drive ,
work..... we found out she had rumatory
arthritis. A VERY Aggressive and severe case of it. She didn't give up she kept fighting.
About 3 years later she had her 1st body part replacement this was a new knee which gave her the ability to get up and walk some but she had it done and years. We have had chemo treatments or immune system has crashed and she has to get immune system treatments medication medications nonstop that the insurance won't pay for we don't have very much family and financially my mom has been figuring out how to support herself so she can stay in her home since the pandemic things have gotten really hard Sharon has had 5 surgeries in 6
months. We have tried to get caregivers
through the state but because they are not
paid well they never last. we've had massive
falls and injuries because she's home by
herself . These last few surgeries have pushed her back very far not to mention she hasn't
been able to get her R.A infusion or immune
system infusion. The most recent surgery was a very extreme procedure to try and prevent her from lossing her arm. The surgeon
literally had to attach her arm to her side/back in 3 places to help with blood flow. Having to recover at home by yourself with no caregivers makes recovery very difficult think about not
being able to put your own shirt on or get a
cup of milk or make something to eat without
risking getting hurt. My mom is the strongest person I've ever known but right now she was very defeated. We hope that you could take the time to read this, share and/or donate. What the community can do when they pull together is amazing. Our goal is to raise money to hire a caregiver like she needs desperately and
deserves.
