Refugees In Greece
Donation protected
Dig deep my friends. 2015 has seen the biggest refugee migration since World War II. You wouldn’t know this from mainstream media. The silence from corporate America has been deafening. Thousands of families from the Middle East and Africa continue to flood the five Greek islands bordering Turkey, fleeing the devastation of civil wars. Having lost everything, refugee families have risked the Mediterranean crossing when their land was no longer safe. Tragically, those who survived the perilous journey are not welcome into the European Union. This has left the Greek government, an already struggling economy, to manage the growing bottleneck of humanity on their eastern islands. With few exceptions, the survival of the refugee arrivals has depended on the good will of grass roots individuals and organizations, and this support has dwindled due to global disinterest and lack of public awareness. We are stepping up our plea to humanists around the world to give until it hurts. Every dollar provides basic human needs that we take for granted.
