My name is Jason, and I live with my mother, my elderly grandmother, and nine siblings in the home we've shared for the past ten years. My mother has been struggling with severe health conditions, including a seizure disorder, which has made it impossible for her to work. As the oldest child, I've taken on much of the responsibility for keeping our family together and our home safe.

We're also currently without heat, which has made daily life even more difficult. Most of my income goes toward paying bills and more recently, property taxes, leaving little left for repairs. The situation has become so serious that child protective services has given us just thirty days to fix these problems, or my mother will lose custody of my siblings and even face jail time.

Despite everything, my siblings remain as happy as they can be, not fully understanding the severity of our situation. My mother is doing her best, but the stress and her health challenges make it nearly impossible to keep up.
