Hi everyone,

Four years ago, I was competing in half Ironman events. Then, almost overnight, my life changed. I went from finishing triathlons to not being able to walk to the kitchen.

After 11 months off work, countless unanswered questions, and a lot of medical tests. I was finally diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). It has been an excruciatingly slow grind back — from struggling to walk around the block again, to returning to work, to running for just 30 seconds and feeling like Im going to pass out.

Today, I’ve set myself a new goal: to run the 21 km leg of the half Ironman in February 2026 — the same event that was my last before everything changed. To kick things off, I’ll be aiming to run 50 kms over the month of October.

During this month, I’ll also be fundraising for the Australian POTS Foundation Ltd. This cause is close to my heart, and every donation — no matter the size — will make a difference.
