Chicago & Main Baristas Solidarity Fund

UPDATE: Unfortunately, the Chicago & Main store was permanently closed on 9/29/25, nearly three years after the store filed to unionize and after countless ULP strikes and other actions in efforts to pursue a contract with Starbucks.

The experiences and memories organizing at Chicago & Main will last a lifetime, as well as the incredibly powerful sense of community and solidarity the workers at this store built with one another, the Evanston/Main Street community, and the Chicago labor movement and Starbucks workers everywhere. We will go on to organize new workplaces and participate in new struggles, and be reunited on the picket lines and in the streets.

This fund however has been dissolved, used partially to support laid-off workers during the sudden and difficult transition and partially contributed to the regional strike fund. Baristas at dozens of other Starbucks locations in Illinois continue to organize in pursuit of a union contract. Please direct any donations to the regional strike fund at this link:
