For those of you who know Gaby Reyes, you’ll know what a sweet, smart, cute and GREAT dancer he really is... and those eyes.
Today I received a heartbreaking phone call from a fellow baseball mom, Jenny. For the last few weeks, Gaby, Jenny and Gabe’s son, had been acting strange. From acting up at school and at home, to losing his balance and not wanting to play baseball. On Friday, after doctors eliminated all other probable causes, Gaby’s parents took him to NCH for an MRI. Shortly after they were given the news no parents want to hear. Their son has a large mass in the center of his brain. The mass is affecting the pituitary gland and needs to be removed. Gaby is scheduled for surgery Tuesday, April 23rd. The doctors are very confident that all will be fine however, the recovery can be a long one. First and foremost, we are asking for prayers. We know what the power of prayer is and how faith can move mountains. Secondly, if any of you find it in your heart to help the Reyes family financially, please know your funds will be used to help cover all expenses while they are in the hospital in order for them to concentrate on their sons recovery. No donation is too small.
