My name is Dave Griffin and this November, I’ll be embarking on my 15th Building Blitz with Mellon Educate, a charity that builds schools and classrooms for children in the townships outside Cape Town. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of being part of this incredible effort to provide safe, educational spaces for children who need them most. It’s an experience that has deeply impacted me, and I’m more committed than ever to this cause. I’ll be travelling with 400 volunteers, all of us working together to help build classrooms and improve the education prospects of children living in shacks.

To help raise the funds necessary for my travel, I’ll be taking part in the Ring of Beara cycle challenge – a beautiful yet demanding 110km route through some of the most stunning landscapes in Ireland.

Every donation made raised will go towards supporting the construction of schools and classrooms, ensuring that children in these communities have access to a safe, supportive environment where they can learn and thrive.
