3 Peaks 24 Hour Challenge
Donation protected
Hi my name is Roy,
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Our aims are to improve men's mental health and prevent suicide in men. We do this in two ways:
1 - We put on free sessions each week for people to come along to, join in and have fun. We do things like glassblowing, walking rugby, beach fitness, sound bath and reiki, martial arts, sauna and ice bath, golf, woodworking and walking to name a few. These are free for everyone, we don't charge a thing.
2 - We train people in mental health first aid. All our session leaders are MHFA trained so we know there is support at our sessions if someone needs it, or if the session leader spots any signs.
The sessions we put on create safe spaces, fun spaces, secure spaces. We want everyone who comes to have fun, we don't want there to be a financial barrier to people having fun, we want to break down the stigma of people talking about their mental ill health. We want to show talking about mental ill health is a good thing, it shows we are human, it shows we care about each other and we are there for each other, it shows we are not alone, and it is ok not to be ok.
This page has been set up so the brave souls taking on our Bro 3 Peak Challenge can raise money to help us to continue putting on free sessions and training people in Mental Health First Aid and we need your help to do this.
We are aiming to complete the ascent and descent of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden within 24 hours. We start Ben Nevis at 0300 on 26th June and will aim to start Snowden at around 2300 on the same day. Once we have descended Snowden we will have completed 40km in distance and 11220 feet of ascent.
Please be generous and support us in completing what is a difficult challenge. Please be generous and support us to continue improving men's mental health and preventing suicide in men.
Thank you from all of us x
