Help me and my family get to safety

My name is Hiyam Zino, I am 17 years old. I have not been able to complete my education due to the ongoing war in Gaza. We used to live a life full of comfort and peace, but this war turned our lives upside down. We were forced to flee our home, and we lost many of our loved ones, as well as our home, which was our safe haven.

Then October 7th came, as if a black storm had swept through our lives. Happiness turned into suffering, and hope turned into a nightmare. We can no longer eat the good food we used to, the dishes that used to decorate our tables have become a distant memory. Now we live in tents, searching for safety in a world full of fear and anxiety. The nights became longer and darker, and the mornings lost their brightness.

Suffering is not only in the lack of food or housing, but in every moment we live. We suffer from the loss of loved ones, and from seeing the devastation that has befallen our homes and neighborhoods. Children no longer play as they used to, but rather live in a state of terror and shock. The dream of a better future has become just a wish that we hold on to in our hearts burdened with pain.

I have a younger sister named Haya, who is 10 years old, and she carries many dreams and aspirations in her heart. All we want now is a chance to live in peace and restore some security in our lives.
