On December 26, 2025, our family experienced an unimaginable tragedy. Shantal, a devoted wife and mother of three, a loving daughter, niece, cousin, and friend, was tragically taken from her children’s lives in an act of senseless violence during a custody exchange.
Shantal was only 34 years old. She was gentle, hardworking, deeply faithful, and wholly committed to her children. Everything she did was for them. She worked tirelessly to provide, to nurture, and to give her babies a safe and loving life. Her greatest joy was being their mother.
Now, her three children, ages 6, 4, and 1, are facing a future without the one person who loved and protected them most.
This GoFundMe has been created solely to support Shantal’s children as they navigate life without their mother. All funds raised will be used exclusively for their direct care and future needs, including but not limited to:
Daily living expenses and basic necessities
Trauma-informed counseling and emotional support
Childcare, educational needs, and enrichment
Long-term stability and future planning, including college expenses
This fundraiser is being managed by Shantal’s family, who are committed to ensuring that every dollar is used responsibly and only for the benefit of her children.
While nothing can replace their mother, we hope this fund will help ease the financial burdens ahead and surround these children with tangible love, stability, and care during an unimaginably painful time.
