Hello, my name is Jennifer Pino. I'm 57 years old and retired due to medical issues. I retired during the COVID pandemic, and it took almost a year for my funds to come through. By then, my vehicle had been repossessed, my electric was almost turned off, I needed propane, food—you get the idea. My children stepped in and assisted me as much as they could. But not too long after, we lost my son-in-law to a hit-and-run accident. He left behind 3 of his own children and never met his youngest son. He also had 3 stepchildren he loved and, of course, my daughter. I've been a single parent since my youngest was 2 years old. It's been a struggle, and I have survived this long until my health started to deteriorate. I fell far behind on my mortgage; I owe or need to pay close to $6,000 to be caught up. And I only have 3 years to go to pay off my home. I've been selling breakfast burritos, lunch, jewelry, and it's not enough. I can't rely on my children; they have lives of their own to live. I'm so close but yet so far. I need funds, help to pay off this delinquency. Today, I had a doctor's follow-up. Now I'm beginning to have heart problems. I will need to go in for more testing regarding that issue. I was told to take it easy and take better care of myself. How do I do that when I am facing eviction?
I feel embarrassed asking for help in this manner. I am very independent and stubborn when it comes to asking for help, but I am in dire need. I know times are hard at this time. Any donations you can offer are and will be greatly appreciated.
You all have a wonderful day, and may God bless you. Thank you for your time.
