Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) is the UK’s leading HIV and sexual‑health charity, founded in 1982 and named after Terry Higgins—one of the first people in Britain known to have died of an AIDS‑related illness. From its early roots as a volunteer‑run response to the emerging AIDS crisis, it has grown into the largest specialist charity of its kind in Europe.
