I hate to even have to ask for help, but my family is desperate. My family and I are in the last stages of an eviction. Any day now the property management group, over the place, will take possesion of the place we've lived in for 5 and 1/2 years. We have reached out to all the different numbers and places in our area that are supposed to offer assistance, but have received nothing. At this point I know it is probably too late to try to save this place, so now we are in need of getting a new place to stay.
In 2013 my husband was injured on his job, when his foot was crushed in between a forklift and a steel beam. He was unable to use his foot or walk on it for over a yr. Right now he is in the process of waiting for an answer on his disability/ssi claim. The whole ordeal has not only put a weight on us financially but also our marriage in general.
When that occurred I was pregnant and due that same month. As soon as I had the baby I started looking for a job. I have been the only one working and providing for our family since that time. I also work from home, so by not having a place to stay I lose my job. Unfortunately the weight of rent, utility bills, credit card bills, food, living expenses, title loans, etc came crashing down on me. I feel like I was swimming for as long as I possbily could and now I am at the bottom of the ocean.
We have 3 sons together ages 5, 4, and 1 and I hate that they are in this situation, especially aroud the holidays. We need money get a new place ASAP. I have been calling around trying to find a shelter or temporary housing until we can get something more permanent. Anything will help. I am emotionally, mentally, physically, and financially drained now:(
