Hello everyone,
My name is Ebony and I am the mother of
Brooklyn Taylor. She is 15 years old and
currently a Freshman in high school. She loves all things science and art related and her
favorite tv show is Naruto. Brooklyn is truly a
loving, courageous and hilarious young lady.
I raised her as a single parent from her birth
until the tender age of 8, when our legal battle began and Brooklyn’s well being was placed
on the line. After years of continuous court
hearings, her father, who showed little to no
interest in her upbringing, appeared with
court papers stating he was awarded full
custody and subsequently moved Brooklyn to another state - purposefully limiting her
contact with the only family she’s ever known.
Brooklyn’s father is very controlling and only
allows her to call me occasionally while in his
presence on speaker phone or Skype so that
he is able to monitor what she says. Brooklyn has been able to express to me how unhappy
and unsafe she feels in her current
environment, as well as her desire to return
home to be with me - her mother.
I have been fighting for her to come back
home with no success due to her father having more financial leverage than I have. But I will
continue to advocate for my daughter.
Brooklyn is now 15 and becoming a young
woman and I believe she now deserves for her voice to be heard in a court of law and for the
court to honor her wishes.
I am kindly asking for both prayers and
donations to cover emergency attorney fees
that will ensure Brooklyn has her day in court and she’s able to influence the decision of
where and with whom she will live. Please
help me bring Brooklyn home.
Any contribution is greatly appreciated and
will be used to bring Brooklyn home. If you are unable to donate, please share this around. I
will keep everyone updated on how the case
turns out as well as how Brooklyn is doing.
Brooklyn and I thank each and every one of
you from the bottom of our hearts. Love you
all.
