Hey family, friends, and well-wishers,

My name is Teresa, a Jamaican living in Orlando, FL.

Many times we shy away from asking for help because we fear what others may think or say about what we do. Now, I am being bold by reaching out to you, seeking assistance for a small community in Jamaica that was affected by Hurricane Melissa.

I personally have families who have lost their homes, don't know when they will be returning to work, or even where their next meal is coming from.

I believe it takes a community to care, and help doesn't mean only when it's convenient. It means doing good because it's the right thing to do.

I know trust is an issue in this world, but if you are compelled to assist in prayer, donation, services, or whatever means possible, your support will be greatly appreciated.

The Jamaican proverb "One one cocoa full basket" means that small, consistent steps will lead to the completion of a large task or the achievement of a goal. Funds collected will be used to purchase essential items to reach as much families as possible

We can do this. Let us unite for a cause and bring love and healing to those in need.
