THE SWING PROJECT_ Damiano's way

Nel 2022 nasce “The Swing Project” un'associazione no profit. Tramite donazioni, eventi artistici, concerti, laboratori e serate teatrali raccogliamo fondi per appoggiare progetti che attraverso la musica promuovono l’ inclusione sociale, sopratutto in realtà svantaggiate.

Con i fondi ottenuti finora abbiamo potuto finanziare una scuola di danza e percussioni per bambini e ragazzi in Kenya, a Kibera, uno dei più grandi slum di Nairobi. Inoltre con la collaborazione dell'associazione "Rose dei Venti", abbiamo potuto avviare il progetto "Diventicoro", un coro che attraverso la musicoterapia lavora con persone con disabilità e non.

Sono questi ed altri i progetti che vorremmo continuare a sostenere e per farlo abbiamo bisogno anche del vostro aiuto.

THE SWING PROJECT:

Lo swing può essere spiegato come un’azione che si padroneggia grazie alla quale si entra in armonia con le persone e l’ambiente che ci circonda. Damiano credeva nello swing della vita e ogni giorno cercava di metterlo in pratica: quando suonava e componeva musica erano i momenti in cui ci riusciva meglio.

The Swing Project vuole continuare ad alimentare lo swing di Damiano, trasmettendo il suo approccio alla vita e alla musica ad altri giovani nel mondo.

I 5 punti fondamentali di The Swing Project:

- aspira a supportare realtà che utilizzano la musica per migliorare la vita dei giovani 

- è sostenibile: lavoreremo con realtà che già esistono (siano esse organizzazioni, gruppi formali e non) 

- vuole essere rilevante: aiutando le realtà a migliorare la qualità dei loro progetti per far sì che sempre più giovani riescano a trovare il loro Swing.

- è trasparente: monitoreremo i risultati tramite indicatori specifici e ogni risorsa raccolta sarà utilizzata per il progetto

- vuole valorizzare il territorio: si rivolge a realtà in Italia e nel Mondo in contesti svantaggiati. Ogni intervento sarà mirato e terrà in considerazione il luogo in cui la realtà opera.

 The Swing Project è un progetto ambizioso, come Damiano: chi lo ha conosciuto ha potuto vivere il suo swing e può comprendere che questo progetto non si pone limiti.

Per farlo abbiamo bisogno di coinvolgere più persone possibili, non solo nella raccolta fondi, ma anche nell’individuare realtà valide da supportare e per amplificare il progetto. Facciamo in modo che lo swing di Damiano diventi di tutti.

Swing can be explained as an action one masters through which one enters into harmony with people and one's surroundings. Damiano believed in the swing of life and every day he tried to put it into practice: when he played and composed music were the times when he did it best.

The Swing Project wants to continue to nurture Damiano's swing, passing on his approach to life and music to other young people around the world.

 The 5 fundamental points of The Swing Project

- aspires to support realities that use music to improve the lives of young people 

- is sustainable: we will work with realities that already exist (whether organisations, formal or non-formal groups) 

- it wants to be relevant: we will help realities to improve the quality of their projects so that more and more young people find their Swing.

- is transparent: we will monitor the results through specific indicators and any resources collected will be used for the project

- wants to enhance the territory: it targets realities in Italy and around the world in disadvantaged contexts. Each intervention will be targeted and will take into consideration the place where the reality operates.

 The Swing Project is an ambitious project, like Damiano: those who knew him were able to experience his swing and can understand that this project sets no limits. To do this we need to involve as many people as possible, not only in fundraising, but also in identifying valid realities to support and to amplify the project. Let's make Damiano's swing become everyone's.

Damiano croyait au swing de la vie et chaque jour il essayait de le mettre en œuvre : quand il jouait et composait sa musique c'était les moments où il arrivait au mieux à faire vivre cela.

- transparence: nous suivrons les résultats au moyen d'indicateurs spécifiques et toutes les ressources collectées seront utilisées pour le projet.

- valorisation du territoire: nous nous adressons à des structures en Italie et dans le monde dans des contextes défavorisés. Chaque intervention sera bien ciblée et tiendra compte des besoins et du territoire d'activité.

The Swing Project est un projet ambitieu, a l'image de Damiano: ceux qui l'ont connu ont pu vivre son swing et peuvent comprendre que ce project ne se fixe aucune limite. 

Pour faire cela, nous devons joindre le plus grand nombre de personnes possibile, non seulement dans la collecte de fonds, mais aussi dans l'identification de structures valables pour soutenir et amplifier le projet.

Faisons en sorte que le swing de Damiano devienne celui de tout le monde.

- quiere ser relevante: ayudaremos a las realidades a mejorar la calidad de sus proyectos para que cada vez más jóvenes encuentren su Swing.

- es transparente: haremos un seguimiento de los resultados a través de indicadores específicos y todos los recursos recaudados se destinarán al proyecto

- quiere potenciar el territorio: se dirige a realidades en Italia y en todo el mundo en contextos desfavorecidos. Cada intervención será específica y tendrá en cuenta el lugar donde opera la realidad.

 The Swing Project es un proyecto ambicioso, como Damiano: quienes le conocieron pudieron experimentar su swing y pueden entender que este proyecto no pone límites.

Para ello necesitamos implicar al mayor número posible de personas, no sólo en la recaudación de fondos, sino también en la identificación de realidades válidas para apoyar y amplificar el proyecto. Hagamos que el swing de Damiano se convierta en el de todos.
