555 KM, 14 days, 1-Purpose: Community Care!

This summer, I’m running 555 kilometres (345mi) in 14 days - not for a medal, but as proof of what’s possible. There was a time when I relied on a mobility scooter and took 33 pills a day. Movement felt impossible; now it's medicine!

Hi, my name is Jp Horgan. I’m fundraising in support of Community Care Durham (CCD) for a cause that’s close to my heart and gives back to the community in a large way.

I’m running to raise funds and awareness so others facing physical or mental health challenges can access the support they need — and to show that no matter where you start, your next steps can change everything.

Today, every step I take is a statement: healing is real, resilience can be trained, and the human spirit is far stronger than we think.

Completing a full marathon (42.2 km) every day for 14 consecutive days takes resilience, and it takes a team. That's where you come in.

This challenge is about belief, endurance, resilience, and community — and it will change lives.

Community Care Durham (CCD), delivers many community services, such as:

Meals on Wheels & Community Food Boxes ($100 is roughly 12 frozen entrees or 8 hot meals delivered).

Other Services by CCD include:

  • Transportation services (including wheelchair-accessible vans)

  • Friendly visiting & telephone reassurance (to reduce isolation)

  • Adult Day Programs & caregiver respite

  • WeConnect mental health support

  • Foot care clinics & exercise/falls prevention

  • In-home support and home-after-hospital help

All donations will go directly to Community Care Durham(CCD) to support their essential programs serving individuals and families in our community.

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Sponsorship is different from a donation.
we're humbly seeking monetary donations and/ or gift cards for places like gas, grocery, and all weather running apparel).

Sponsors are businesses or individuals who wish to:

  • Partner with the event

  • Receive promotional exposure

  • Have their brand represented during the 14-day run and subsequent documentary.

  • Be featured in content, social media, and event coverage

Please DM to sponsor

Sponsorship funds are crucial to the run's operational costs(logistics, equipment, nutrition, travel). In return, sponsors receive visibility, recognition, and partnership opportunities.

This is a marketing partnership — not a charitable donation.

Why This Matters

Community Care Durham provides vital services that many individuals and families quietly rely on. This run is a way to turn physical endurance into tangible impact — transforming every step into meaningful support.
