A young man called and said 'today is my last day'.

On New Year’s day, he found himself on a desolate road with a gun and a horrible plan to solve his problems. He’s getting help back on base for now. I talked him into waiting, sleeping, and living for one more day, and his parents found him and wrestled the gun away from him before he could follow through.

The kid got himself in serious financial trouble and he thought his parents would have to pay his debts and the Army's life insurance was the only way to protect them.

Anything you can spare will help remove finances from his list of worries. All family and friends are chipping in to try and keep this young man alive.
