20 years ago I survived a plane crash that nearly killed me. Since then I've challenged myself to make the most of every single day. Fighting fires, running a marathon and extreme bushwalking. Now I want to do something for others. This ride enables me to raise money for a cause I really believe in. To give these young people the second chance that I was given.
Raising money to assist the growth of some amazing young people through C-Collective a not for profit charity that supports young people through tough times aswell as offering services such as executive coaching, success driven courses that assist young people maintain and commence lifelong learning and social integration. They practice what they preach. They receive a very small amount of funding so all funds raise this year we are aiming to cover the costs of their office rental and overheads for the year so then we can focus on running more programs for vulnerable young people that bring them the success outcomes they never believed possible. The event is the "Murray to Moyne" - a 520km relay ride from Echuca to Port Fairy. This is not an easy event. Its about teamwork, hard work but a lot of fun and connection with the community. All money paid by registration from our riders and support crew goes towards supporting local hospitals in the area so at least $2000 we donate ourselves. The money then raised by the riders goes directly to our chosen charity: C-Collective - A grassroots not for profit Youth based organisation.
