50k Race for Suicide Awareness

On October 11th, I'll be putting on my running shoes to tackle the Kent Downs 50k Race for Mid Kent Mind. This isn’t just a race for me; it’s a tribute to those I’ve lost and a testament to the journey I’ve been on.
For a long time, I struggled in silence with my own mental health. Years ago, I attempted to take my own life because I felt there was no way out and no one to turn to. I’ve also watched helplessly as friends and family members have faced similar battles, with some tragically losing their fight to suicide. The pain and the questions that remain are something no one should have to go through.
Thankfully, my story didn’t end there. Over the past few years, I’ve worked incredibly hard on myself. I’ve found that taking care of my physical health—losing 5+ stone and embracing a fitness routine—has had an immense positive impact on my mental well-being. This journey has shown me that there is hope, and that it’s possible to find strength even in the darkest of times.
Now, I want to pay that forward. I’m running this gruelling 50k to raise funds and awareness for Mid Kent Mind, a charity that provides life-saving mental health support right here in our community. They are a crucial resource for those who feel lost and alone, offering a hand to hold when it’s needed most.
Please help me support their mission. Your donation can provide a much-needed lifeline and help ensure that more people get the support they deserve. Thank you for your generosity and for being a part of this important cause.
