From flag-raising ceremonies and community awards, to the iconic NAIDOC Ball — we’ve shown up, stood proud, and created spaces that honour our Elders, uplift our young ones, and champion our collective legacy.

Now, we look ahead.

We’re asking our mob and allies to help us raise $50,000 for 50 years – a dollar for each year of community strength – to establish NAIDOC Victoria as a sovereign, community-owned and community-controlled entity.

This is about protecting our future.

About making sure that NAIDOC in Victoria remains for Community, by Community – free from political interference, governed with cultural integrity, and accountable to our people.

• Legal establishment as a sovereign community organisation

• Governance structures that reflect true Aboriginal self-determination

• Seed funding for independent cultural programs

• Admin and operational foundations that ensure our next 50 years are Blak-led and Blak-owned
