I’m running the Lakeland 50 for the people whose lives changed in a single moment — stroke survivors and the families who stand beside them every day.
A stroke doesn’t just affect one person. It can take away independence, confidence, speech, mobility, and the simple things many of us take for granted. Recovery is often long, exhausting, and filled with challenges most people never see. But stroke survivors keep going. Step by step. Day by day.
That’s why I chose this challenge.
Fifty miles through the hills and trails of the Lake District will test me physically and mentally, but it is nothing compared to the battles stroke survivors face during recovery. When the run gets tough, I’ll remember that this is bigger than me. Every mile is about raising awareness, supporting rehabilitation, and helping survivors access the care and encouragement they deserve.
I’m running to honour their resilience, their determination, and their refusal to give up.
If you can support my journey, no matter how small the donation, you’ll be helping make a real difference for stroke survivors and their families.
