5 idiots run for mental health
Four of us have been friends since school. We lived together and then adopted Niall.
It’s not really looking good at the minute for lads like us in Ireland. We have all lost someone and fought our own battles. But we know that when we have each other’s backs we find it all a little easier.
So we are running the Belfast marathon. It’s our way of saying that as a way to say to men like us who feel may need help that there’s someone who cares about them. Even if all 5 of us forgot to train.
We are raising money for Life Change Changes Lives anything you can spare or even just a reshare goes a long way. We run together or not at all.
More information about Life Change Changes Lives: LCCL exists to help those affected by mental illness, addiction, social isolation and suicidal ideations. We achieve this through the provision of day projects involving creative therapy, BACP Counselling, peer mentoring, training and physical activity. We aim to decrease social isolation by the provision of a warm and welcoming environment for everyone, by providing a daily lunch and being open and accessible to everyone. We are an intergenerational non-political and non-religious organisation.
