I am reaching out with humility and faith to ask for assistance. Since December 28, 2018, I have been in recovery from alcohol and drugs, diligently working to rebuild my life. For the past four years, I have been gainfully employed by the same organization and have established a stable home—a two-bedroom apartment where my 12 daughter, has her own room. Two years ago I petitioned the court for custody and was granted partial custody. Now, I am taking the next step: petitioning for full custody. To do this, I need to retain a lawyer and am seeking $4,000 to make that possible. Moving to Virginia four years ago was a leap of faith—one that God placed on my heart—and I have trusted every day that He would guide me toward being a mother again. Asking for help isn’t easy, but I believe this is worth trying. Whether or not the court grants me this opportunity, I know I must do everything I can to bring her home. Please, if you are able, help me take this step forward. God first, recovery second, and everything else falls into place.
