I have been raising Robert since he was one year old as his step mother and later became his guardian when his biological parents chose to leave his life. Their exit was for the better due to the neglect Robert suffered from as an infant/toddler during their presence, and exposure to drug use.  Robert has lived a very stable, consistent, and wonderful life since then. He has met and surpassed a plethora of milestones. He has a mother and father who love him for the person he is, regardless of having no biological connection. He has a beautiful home, room, playroom, pets, and well over fifty close family members who share a role in his life for not just holidays but for regular family visits as well.  His biological parents have moved to terminate guardianship for their own selfish gains; having no regard for the beautiful life this child has. The judge, much to the entire family and extended family's heartbreak, proceeding over this hearing has NO REGARD for the guardian-child relationship. Child Protective Services advised this judge that the guardianship should NOT be terminated after a thorough investigation was performed on the involved parties; the judge dismissed their recommendation completely and didn't bother to look into the sad history of this case at all.  We ask for the sake of an eight year old boy, for his happiness and for his safety, to help us raise money for proper legal representation to keep our beloved Robbie home where he belongs. Our family may not be blood, but no one can take away our undying love for this child.  Regardless of what happens in this case, no one will ever take away our love and how we feel about Robert, our first child. A child, that according to the government, the woman who raised him as a son, means nothing to him and is not allowed to protect with her life as any rational parent would do for their baby.
