Lighten the Load by Giving
Donation protected
I'm sure it is no surprise to learn how great the need is for basics this year. EVERYTHING costs more.
It's always tough to know what students are most in need...until someone telle me they can't come to school because there's not enough money for gas. Yes, that happens.
Shoes. Warm clothes. Blankets. Socks. Pajamas. The list is long.
For the past 2 years I have stepped out of my comfort zome and posted about these needs on social media, asking to help children and families. I knew personally who needed assistance. I was amazed and overwhelmed with $4,000 in gererosity from my friends and family, and every cent went into their hands...with deep gratitude.
I had so many families commenting that no one had ever offered to help before, and it was the highlight of the year...twice!
The need this year is still huge, and I am inviting anyone who loves how it feels to give to be a part of this.
All money will go toward sneakers, sweatshirts, pajamas, blankets...and gift cards for gas or Wal Mart for food and necessities.
Some have already stepped up. Thank you Joe Condon for believing in me.
You can Venmo me directly @Ashley-Hayball or you can donate through GoFund Me.
Please reach out if you prefer to shop for a family in particular. If you feel more connected and of service this way, I will hook you up. It's pretty special, and I promise to send some photos.
Thank you for reading til the end. This year has been immesurably hard on the teacher front, and I predict immediate changes in 2022. Let's create some of our own good...by lightening someone's load.
Please share this post with anyone you like.
