Missing Person: Help Bring Mrs. Ruth Jenkins Home

Donation protected
We, the children of Mrs. Ruth Jenkins, are in desperate need of answers regarding her disappearance. We, along with the local law enforcement & her surrounding community, have been unsuccessful in locating her. We’re pleading for the broader public’s help for information that will help the police in their investigation. Our mother’s family & friends have set up a GoFundMe to raise money for a reward towards obtaining relevant, substantiative information that leads to her location & safe return home. No amount you donate is too small, if it can help bring our mother home to her family.

Our mother was last seen on July 16, 2022, around 2:30pm in the 1800 block of Highway 45 in Pineville, South Carolina. Our mother is 5’ 4” & weighs approximately 125 lbs. She has black hair & brown eyes. She was wearing a grey shirt, dark jeans, black rimmed eyeglasses that tint in the sun & 2 necklaces, one with a cross pendant. Our mother suffers from early stages of dementia & has high blood pressure. The day she disappeared; she left her home on foot. Due to her dementia, she may have stated that she was either looking for keys to her car or for her small dog Twinkie. She left her home without her cell phone or any identification. She has a habit of walking at a slow pace, with her head down & hands locked behind her back.

So, that’s the physical description of our mother, Mrs. Ruth. We want to tell you about her, the person. Our mother was married to our father, Robert Jenkins, Sr., a former Marine, for 41 years until his passing in 2011. She raised 5 beautiful children in the same home that her & our father built together almost 50 years ago. Over the years, she has been a vital part of the Pineville community as an educator, volunteer with the local clinic & summer lunch program & a devout Christian in the local churches. She has a big heart for her family, especially all her grandchildren. She is always proud to talk about her sons & daughter to anyone who stands long enough to listen. Even at the young age of 77, our mother enjoys a good joke & loves to laugh. She is all about her memories of her family. And with that, we equally share our love for her. Our mother IS the center of our family. Despite her strong will, she has a softness that’s unmatched. Typical of a mother’s love.

Please help us reach our goal of $10,000 to go towards the reward that will help bring our mother, Mrs. Ruth Jenkins, home. May God bless each of you for your prayers & support. If you have information, please contact the Berkeley County Sheriff's office in South Carolina.
