4x4x48 Challenge - John Brink & ST JUDE'S HOSPITAL
Tax deductible
Challenge received! At 8pm on March 22nd in Arlington, TX I will start the first of 12 four-mile sessions commonly known as the 4x4x48 challenge (running 4 miles at the start of a 4-hour interval across a 48-hour period). That is 48 total miles over two days. The challenge is a different beast because of the spacing of the runs. It was designed by ultra-marathoner and Navy Seal David Goggins. The difficulty is not in retiring 48 miles, but in mentally fighting through the body's natural reaction to recover and sleep and still getting to the start line 12 separate times in 48 hours.
While this is a personal goal, I want to make this more than just about me. Can you join him in making a difference? Those St. Jude Children's Research Hospital commercials always made an impression, so I want to use this event to drive donations for the great work they do. I will put some skin in the game and contribute the first $250. Can we get to $2,500? Thank you in advance for your contributions. There is no t-shirt for donors, but I will call out all the contributors by name in the wrap-up video.
