I am severely disabled, to the point where I am unable to live on my own. I can't go out and I am physically unable to be out of my bed for more than a half an hour at a time without being in an incredible amount of pain.

My adult daughter lives with me and works, unpaid, as my caregiver while also being disabled herself.

This GFM was originally created because in November of 2025 a roommate stole all of our savings. Until now we have managed to just stay afloat.

Then today August 15th, my daughter woke to email after email confirming purchases we didn't make.

Our online grocery accounts, both Walmart and Amazon were hacked. Because of this our bank account was nearly emptied., leaving just under $9

We have no money to buy food, prescriptions or cover our rent next month.

The bank, Walmart and Amazon were all contacted and recovery efforts are in place. All accounts have been secured and the bank card was reported stolen/compromised.

We're now in a waiting game as to whether the stolen money will be returned or not.

And with our disabilities we have no way to simply work more to replace the funds before bills come due again.
