Well....Never in a million years would I think that we'd be depending on the kindness and generosity of others to help my daughter keep her home, car, and phone but here we are asking. TALK ABOUT SURPRISES! Out of nowhere and without warning, my daughter Marissa suddenly became very ill on August 11 of this year and was rushed to the hospital. We found out she was in kidney failure. Once she was stabilized, she started dialysis and now goes three times a week which takes up most of the day. On her days off, much of the time she is very tired so given these facts, it is impossible for her to maintain a job. She can't afford internet or the equipment she would need to obtain an at home job. However, doctors say that once her body adjusts to the dialysis, she may be capable of working part-time. We have applied for disability but we've got 200+ days to go before they reach a decision. In the meantime, unfortunately, we see no other way for Marissa to stay in the home that she loves, without reaching out for help, just short term until she can get back on her feet It would break her heart to give up her home.
