Hi, I’m Sara Dickinson, a single mother of 3; Atticus (8), Lilly (7) and Olivia (2). I am a recovering addict and have been 3 years and 8 months clean today off of all substances. I have lost everything in my addiction, including my time with my kids. I have gained all my motivation and confidence and have regained control of my life. I made some terrible mistakes in my past that I have learned from. I have been fighting harder than ever to provide for myself and my kids in every way I can, emotionally, financially, physically and mentally. The bond I have with my kids is unbreakable. We have currently been looking for a place of our own for over a year now. But with my past, I have been turned away every time, which has been very discouraging. Still, I keep pushing and trying, and all my hard work has finally paid off; I have been given a chance and accepted into a place, and I’m beyond grateful, and the kids are ecstatic. I am, however, struggling with some expenses. I have worked so hard to get where I am today with so many sleepless nights stressing about what my next move will be, and every day I wake up, put a smile on, get us all ready for the day, and push harder. I’m at my limit and know it’s time for me to reach out and ask for some help. If any of you are willing to help in any way possible, please do, as my family would be so grateful.
