This is for the funeral and celebration of the life of Christopher James Goodman. He was the most lively, one of kind, charismatic, care free, and beautiful souls I’ve ever come to know. He brought a smile to any and everyone’s face.
Tuesday night Zach and I were at the Dirty Heads concert in Richmond. We got a call that CJ had been in an accident in Farmville and he was being airlifted to Richmond. We immediately left and rushed to MCV. We spent the night in Critical Care in the neuro floor. CJ had a critical head injury and almost 48 hours later; passed away. The doctors at MCV tried everything they could and while his numbers improved on Wednesday, they declined even farther today.
As some of you may know CJ had a baby on the way, due June 12th. His love, Corie, is keeping strong and positive and their child will be so loved by all his friends and his brother.
I have some words for “the guys” : You all know who your are, we loved him and I know you guys would have given your lives for him. He was your brother and best friend. No one can take him away from you if you hold him in your hearts forever.
This is meant to help them and CJ’s family as much as we possibly can. I know you all want to do everything you can to show your respect and love and this might be the best way right now to show that we’re thinking of them. There’s a long road ahead and everyone needs to keep their head up and start living our life the way CJ would have wanted.
