Trash- Vengers supplies for 2022

For the past six years, The Trash-Vengers crew, helmed by Matt Armstrong of Fairmount Park, has spent countless hours doing the dirty, tiring, and often thankless work of clearing the area canyons and streets of trash. Their aim is to make the canyons and surrounding neighborhoods a safer and more welcoming place for all, and they do this work on a volunteer basis.
In 2017, the Trash-Vengers rounded up over 3000lbs of trash, and in 2018, they estimate is was closer to 5000lbs.
The crew's work has been documented on several occasions by the San Diego Reader, with articles from 2017, 2018, and 2019. Matt was also featured in this article about a fire started in an area where they had previously done clean ups.
I think we all understand that the homeless situation in San Diego is real, but the solution can't be for encampments in the canyons to go unchecked, creating fire and public health hazards, or for the waste from abandoned encampments to remain there indefinitely. This is where the Trash-Vengers come in.
What we're looking to do is fund the Trash-Vengers through 2022, so they can keep doing their awesome volunteer work without going into their own pockets for material costs.
The Trash-Vengers primary expenses are the purchase of heavy-duty trash bags, gloves, gasoline at a very high cost,soap, and disinfectant. They need grabbers, buckets, and loppers for cutting branches. The crew uses battery operated weed whackers and blowers, which require periodic maintenance and replacement.
They wear heavy duty boots that stick to the side of a canyon walls (dragging heavy bags uphill is no easy chore). They need water, hats, and sunblock to stay hydrated and cool. And Matt carries his gear in a tactical vest which needs periodic replacement (he's on his third). We have not even mentioned the cost of fuel……and won’t. Any help at all is much appreciated.
