For 2026 I’m hopping on the late 20’s, New Year’s resolution fitness crisis by running the London marathon, and a 50 mile ultra-marathon for two important causes.
In March I’ll be running 50 miles for the Alzheimer’s Society, dedicated to my amazing Granny who suffers from the disease. Equally so for my Grandad, who inspires me with how bravely and patiently he supports her 24/7. Their unwavering kindness and strength are still the bedrock of our family. It brings me great pride to represent them, despite being only a fraction of what they deserve.
I’ll then run the London Marathon for the Children’s Society in March, a charity who support vulnerable young people facing poverty, abuse, and mental health struggles - issues I witness on a daily basis as a teacher. I therefore see the ambition and confidence the Children’s Society instil in so many young people.
Whilst my efforts to raise £5000 are just a drop in the ocean in the wider context, the smallest bit of support could make a huge difference even to one person. Whether you are able to support with a donation, or just helping to spread the word to others, I would be so appreciative. Thank you so much, and have a great 2026.
