Support and bless the Milors

Hello dear ones,

My name is Mandy (Simeon's wife, using his account) and I am - like you, probably - someone who loves the Milor family ❤️

As many of you may already know, our beautiful friend Jen, along with her family and friends, has been navigating the heartbreaking journey of end-of-life care for her lovely mam, Kim.

After an excruciating two weeks, Kim was finally able to come home to Jen’s care, where she spent her last hours surrounded by love, softness and beauty. Many of you who have experienced Jen’s home know just how precious this gift was.

This morning, Kim took her final breaths held in her daughter’s arms. Her wishes were honoured and she is no longer suffering

I want to ask something now that may feel uncomfortable—perhaps even crass. But I encourage you to examine those feelings honestly. Jen has given me (albeit reluctantly) permission to reach out for support. Anyone who knows Jen will know that she shuns our cultures obsession with wealth or possessions and gives of herself continually and lavishly (she has not given me permission to describe her thus but the truth is the truth!!!) However, the reality is that surviving in a capitalist society requires a certain amount of financial support.

During these past weeks—and in the weeks to come—Jen, the sole provider for her family, has been unable to work. Balancing hospital visits with home life has made meeting even basic needs significantly more complex.

Now, the family faces not only the ongoing financial pressures of their household but also the substantial costs of arranging a funeral and other end-of-life expenses.

Several friends have stepped in to provide childcare, meals, transport, and moral support, which has been crucial in keeping Jen afloat. (Particular shout out to The Knights here!!)

This is what love looks like. This is community

I’m reaching out to all of you who are wondering how to support this precious family (who let's be honest have done a good deal more for a good number of us) PLEASE throw what you can at this. Maybe it is only £1 - please don't think that is too small. We all only have what little we have but it adds up AND any amount we can rustle together is one less pound for Jen to find.

The target amount is simply a suggestion from GoFundMe - I actually hope we can exceed it wildly but honestly... it's not the number that matters... this is just a simple way we can give some tiny relief to someone we all love so dearly.

Money isn't going to heal the broken hearts, or take away the grief but it is one less thing to think about at a time when there is already so much for them to carry

Feel free to share this widely. We welcome support from everyone—whether or not you know Jen personally. If you’ve experienced something similar and can pay it forward, we appreciate every penny.

All funds raised will be delivered directly to Jen, and we trust her to use it in the best way for her family.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

With much gratitude,
Mandy
