NYHRE Holistic Air Filters

We are a group of volunteers, through Science of Self Yoga, that collaborates with the Holistic Health program at NYHRE.org to provide holistic health care to underserved populations such as people with a history of substance use and at risk of overdose, people with a history of incarceration, people who are marginally housed and/or currently homeless, people who engage in sex work, and anyone who wants to access our services. We provide ear acupuncture, ear seeds, body acupuncture, sound therapy, acupressure, qi gong, yoga and more.

During the pandemic, we have pivoted to creating a series of socially distanced outdoor events that will continue to serve the community in a safe way (www.gofundme.com/wellness-for-the-people). As NYC starts to reopen slowly we continue to consider safety in providing services in an indoor setting for everyone - participants, volunteers, staff. Besides protective equipment and sanitizing supplies, it has been assessed that having air filters will be crucial to opening up the space, preventing COVID 19 transmission, and providing socially distant service to a vulnerable population.

NYHRE staff has worked to secure a donation for a high quality air filter and now needs help in securing two more to provide a safe indoor space for healing. 

Accessing funding has been a challenge in helping to reopen this special space which is why we are asking the community for support. Please consider a donation so that we can help provide healing services for all in a safe way.
