URGENT: Help Facilitate Youth Community Centre
Our Story
Growing up in the downtown core of Toronto, our Muslim youth have been looking for a place to call home. A safe and welcoming space for them to come together to pray, discuss matters of their religion, learn more about Islam, as well as to socialize, and have a great time. Without a doubt, the Toronto Islamic Centre (TIC) has become this place for us. It all started during the holy and blessed month of Ramadan. From congregating to break fast with one another in the Masjid to the very beneficial learning circles we held, to the numerous late-night conversations we’d have during the long Ramadan nights, the brothers and I have truly formed a bond stronger than one could ever imagine. We have brothers here from all parts of the world and brothers who’ve been in all walks of life. This mosque has become a place for us all to redeem ourselves and connect with our faith and find our true meaning and purpose in this life. It truly is something special and out of this world. Furthermore, it is only by the will of God that he has allowed us to create this lovely brotherhood and family-like atmosphere at this Mosque, and it’s no coincidence that once we heard that the Mosque needed funds to be able to keep the space, we rushed to its aid. So now here we are asking you to help us establish our home in the heart of Toronto. A space for the Muslims of this beautiful city to call home.

TIC Provides essential programming to the community:
- Quran Classes for children
- Islamic Studies workshops for adults
- Street-Dawah Initiatives in Downtown, Toronto
Help us keep our doors open!
Through our Dawah efforts, we have distributed:
- 100,000 flyers, pamphlets and books on Islam in 16 different languages
- 15,000 translations of the Quran every year
As a result, the Downtown community has witnessed more than 220 public Shahadahs, with more happening every single week.
