Hello all, thank you for taking the time to read our story. Firstly thank you to those who donated so far, you have kept us going in terms of being able to buy a little food.

Since we first created this page, we have continued to try to survive in this extremely hostile and scary place we once called home. We lost our youngest daughter Jowan, and our oldest son has become unwell due to the conditions and lack of medication.

We have truly concluded that there is nowhere else to go, so we must rebuild with what is left. We have settled near our original home, and we are working hard to make a habitable space.

We have our page here in case people would like to support us in being able to rebuild a place that we may stay and live. We appreciate any and all help, thank you so much for reading.

ORIGINAL TEXT: We are a Palestinian family that consists of 6 members. We live in the Gaza Strip, specifically Al Hawa. We are 4 siblings with Mum and Dad. Ahlam, she’s a law student in her third year of college. From young she used to dream big and she always wanted to a successful woman. Ahmed, he’s a high school student, he had one more year to start his college life, he has an interest in technology believing it’s the field that will bring him success. Jowan, she’s only 7 years old and from her age you expect how lovely and energetic she is.

We used to have a calm and a pleasant life, we had a beautiful house where we had all of our happy memories from the childhood to the adulthood. Everything has suddenly changed after the 7th of October 2023, now our dad has struggles to perform his work well and he may lose his job at any moment, our mom has no house to take care of, we can’t go to school or college to get our education.

Since the beginning of the war we have been living in intolerable levels of hardship, we have been evacuating from a place to another seeking for a shelter but in reality there is no safe shelter here. We evacuated for five times and every time danger looms closer. It is really hard to find filling food and clear water and if we find any the prices are insane, we sleep on the floor with empty stomach and terrified soul. We have lost our lovely and cozy house and neighbourhood where we used to live, laugh, sing, dream and feel safe together. All of our happy memories have been stolen from us and all we have now is a stone pile.
