As the blessed month of Ramadhan dawns upon us, we have an amazing opportunity to secure our house in Jannah.

Borehamwood Islamic Society (BIS) (www.bisuk.org) serves the Muslim Community of Elstree, Borehamwood and the surrounding areas. They first began their journey in 2008, renting a local hall for Jummah and Taraweeh, before converting a shop into a Musalla until they eventually secured a lease for a larger piece of land on Maxwell Road.

Alhamdulillah, the community has grown significantly over the past 17 years and they have now finally secured an agreement to purchase the land. This is the first step in enabling them to replace the building.

We currently have raised almost £270k and need to raise roughly another £130k to reach our target of £400k by the end of Ramadhan 2025 InshaAllah. Now, more than ever, we are in need of your generous donations. This mosque plays a very important role to the local community as this is not only a place for prayer, but other activities too such as Quran classes, community events and various halaqas.

Uthman ibn Affan reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.”
