Kellen’s Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Hello. I am Kellens Auntie, Rachel.
On June 29th, my sweet 11-year-old nephew, Kellen, will undergo open-heart surgery. Although we are confident the surgery will be successful, Kellen will have a very different summer recovering at home. Kellen has a huge love for sports and being active. You can almost always find him outside practicing football, baseball, basketball, or soccer. If he's not outside, he's inside watching highlights from his favorite players. He can school you on stats, who went to what college, or even the score of a game from years prior. Kellen is extremely artistic. When drawing, he gravitates towards drawing his favorite sports teams and players. Needless to say, this kid loves sports. In order for Kellen to have a "normal" active life, this surgery is essential. Sometimes in life, we are faced with hard and unfair situations, but ultimately those trials make us stronger and more resilient. Even some of the best athletes are dealt unfair cards. I pray Kellen will heal and be able to live out all his hopes and dreams! Not only will it be hard on Kellen, but I know his mother and family at home will need support as well. We are putting together a meal train and GoFundMe to take the burden of meals/finances off of them while they take time to care for Kellen at home. These funds will help get Kellen some things to keep him busy while healing and for anything out of pocket that may come up.
If you cannot donate, please feel free to write Kellen some words of encouragement or add him to your prayers! Thank you!
