My mom Mari Stockton passed away on 2/22/22 after her battle with lung cancer. She fought longer and harder than we could have imagined anyone doing and now she is finally at peace and out of pain. She leaves behind 5 adult children and her husband of over 26 years. Unfortunately the family has had some struggles the last year as they lost their home in the Dixie Fire and had to start over with nothing. We are all eternally grateful for the kindness everyone showed during that difficult time as your heartfelt contributions and generosity allowed them to settle into a home where she was able to spend her last months surrounded by family and friends. With her passing, there will be new struggles as everyone learns to adjust to life without her while keeping her memory alive. She didn’t ask for a fancy service, her simple wish was to be cremated and have her ashes spread where she was raised. She worked hard her whole life up until her body wouldn’t let her work anymore. It was never her style to ask for any help but there will be a financial hardship on the family that comes with her passing so I am asking for assistance with her final burial expenses. There will be a celebration of life at a later date and location for anyone who is interested in attending. Thank you all very much for your kindness.
