YEAR 5 ✨ Crazy what $50 can do. If you’re reading this, you’re lucky. So take a second to say thanks. If your feet are warm, say thanks. If you can grab a jacket right now from your closet, say thanks. If you have a closet...say thanks.

This year, we gave jackets to a few children and blankets to some seniors. This was a new group of kids my grandma connected me with, children that truly, truly have close to nothing. Honestly, I sent jackets as part of our annual giveback, but when I looked at the pictures, I don’t want to stop.

I wasn’t going to post the “before” photos, but let’s take a second to closely look at the two pictures. Look at every single child. Each one is missing something, if not many things. Mind you, this is a current photo, in the winter. Notice how some have layers, some have mittens, some have pants, some have socks, none have all. As if having those items were a choice, and for them, it is. But it shouldn’t have to be.

My goal is to get all of them at least one full set of clothing soon. This is a personal goal, but if you wanna join me dm me @sanaritab :)

And to put it in perspective for you guys: it only cost me $50 for those 12 hoodies and $35 for the 8 blankets. I realized it’s so easy for me to spend that on one dinner for myself versus providing long-term warmth for so many people. My one dinner vs. 20 people. Crazy, right? That's privilege.

Sometimes I’m unsure about posting the pictures, but the reality is I’m not a bazillionaireee (just yet*). By posting, I get to share with yall the perspective of how easy it can be to give back. Especially because I am lucky enough to be connected with those who aren't as privileged, and I am lucky enough to be in the position to help. But I myself can only do so much. And so many of you are always interested in helping so I want to share with y'all the impact & hope to continue to be that bridge for those of you who also choose to give back! :)
