My name is Iraana Grant i'm writing this on behalf of our family and friends in the community of Higgins Land St Ann Jamaica where my grandfatherwas born and raised, Which has been devastated by Hurricane Melissa.

In just one night everything has changed. homes were torn apart power lines went down and families who have lived here for generations have lost everything they have worked for.

They are a strong and close-knit rural community the kind where everyone knows each other by name but right now they are hurting . There are many members of the community that are without shelter, food and clean water.

This GoFundMe has been set up to help our community get back on its feet. Every donation will go toward:

Rebuilding homes and providing emergency shelter

Supplying food, clean water, and hygiene essentials

Supporting children, the elderly, and families most affected

Restoring community spaces and helping people restart their lives
